Privacy policy
VecFast (vecfast.com) converts images to vector files in your browser. This page explains what data that involves. Short version: your images never leave your device, we count a few anonymous figures, and if ads are shown, Google may use cookies for them.
Your images
Conversion runs entirely on your device, in your browser. Images, results and file names are never uploaded, stored or seen by us.
Anonymous usage statistics
To see whether the converter works well, the page sends a few anonymous events. They contain:
- a visit: the referring website's domain, which page of this site you arrived on, page language, desktop or mobile, and the country (worked out by our host from the connection; the IP address is not stored);
- a conversion: quality scores, time taken, number of shapes and colours, file size and image size range, image type, app version;
- a download: the file format;
- feedback you choose to send: thumbs up/down, the reason and purpose you pick.
No image, file name, IP address, cookie or user ID is included, so the figures cannot be linked to you. They are kept for about three months by our analytics provider (Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine). You can switch them off with “Turn off” at the bottom of the page; the choice is saved in your browser.
Storage in your browser
A few preferences (for example whether statistics are off, or whether the technical details panel is open) are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
VecFast may show ads served by Google AdSense. When it does:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. See also how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for their consent through Google's consent message before personalised ads are used.
Ads never receive your images: conversion stays on your device either way.
Hosting and email
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes connection data (such as IP addresses) to serve and protect it; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. If you email [email protected], your address and message are used only to reply to you.
Children
VecFast is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
